Thanks everyone for supporting a fantastic Quiz Night

They say a week is a long time in politics, and certainly (Health) Minister Snelling and (Disabilities & Mental Health) Minister Vlahos both resigning from the SA Cabinet signifies a change at the head of our state.  This political positioning signals that the countdown to Election 2018 has well and truly begun, and that we need to work really hard and get behind Hon Kelly Vincent, Dignity Party member of the Upper House to ensure she is re-elected next year.

In news from Dignity Party, we begin with a massive “Thank You” to everyone who supported our Purple People Quiz Night on Saturday!

In particular, we thank Enhanced Lifestyles; Community Bridging Services; SA Care; Geek IT; Stratco St Marys & Fruchocs for their very generous support, as well as everyone who kindly donated wines to our wine wall and contributed wonderful prizes for the silent auction.

Making an event such as this a success relies on the work of many volunteers, and we especially thank Sam Paior (our quiz mistress) and Jon Paior (IT) for their brilliant work on the night.

We are lucky indeed to have such fantastic volunteers who are actively rallying behind Dignity Party and Kelly Vincent’s bid for re-election next March.

If you were part of the great crowd on the night – our heartfelt thanks to you too.  We hope you and your guests enjoyed the night, and perhaps took home a table or raffle prize!  A grateful shout out to the set up and pack down crews too, can’t do this without your tireless effrts, and it is so true that many hands make light work!

Dignity Party are a grass roots, human rights based party, and we are striving to increase fairness and equal opportunity for all in the community.  Whether you were part of the Purple People Quiz Night or not, we value your support with donations online at any time, as we build our resources towards Election 2018.

If you enjoyed quiz night but can’t find your purple Dignity Party bag containing a square white platter, an empty neoprene wine bag. a purple hat and some cute pate/cheese knives you know who you are please email: contact@dignityparty.org.au

Dignity Party need “bodies on the ground” to assist with handing out how-to-vote cards on Saturday 17th March, so your support in this regard is also greatly welcomed!  We will be hosting info sessions to run through all you need to know if you’re interested in helping out, so we hope to see you there!

For our hardworking FUNdraising team, the fun just keeps coming, and we have a Film Night on the holiday Monday (October 2nd) coming up!  Please book your ticket for Battle of the Sexes!  We appreciate your ongoing support of these film fundraisers, and hope you enjoy the opportunity to see new release films whilst supporting Dignity Party!

We also participated in the City to Bay on Sunday morning, and although no records were broken, we all enjoyed bouncing out of bed after the quiz night to fly the flag for Dignity Party as we pounded the pavement to Glenelg!

Ps Dignity Party will be participating in a range of community activities in the coming months, if you are involved in the International Carer’s Conference, KYD-X, or the Disability and Ageing Expo, please drop by and say “hello” to our friendly volunteers!

Thanks again for your support, I’m always happy to get your feedback about the work Dignity Party are doing!
