Emma Cresdee, ENFIELD
Emma graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics, minoring in Public Policy. This theoretical background is now being applied through her work as a Trainee Assistant in the Office of Hon Kelly Vincent, Dignity Party Upper House MP. As a regular community volunteer Emma understands the importance of taking an active role to achieve social change. She particularly wants to see a shift in the perception of disability in the community. As a CODA (child of a Deaf adult) Emma strives to promote the value of the Deaf community, culture and Australian Sign Language (Auslan), wanting to give back to a community that has filled her with pride. Emma has taken an active interest in politics, believing that it is the one way in which every citizen can get involved to make real and lasting change in our society. Emma is proud to see how Kelly Vincent and Dignity Party are speaking out and increasing fairness in the community, and believes that because of this positive impact many more young women will want to follow in Kelly’s footsteps.
