Garry Connor, GIBSON
Garry’s strength comes from his role as parent-carer of two sons with profound autism, he knows the struggles faced in finding adequate support services for children living with disabilities, especially for those in regional SA. Garry knows families are doing it tough, and he wants improved, more efficient services to help families share the load of caring for children with disabilities. Garry is standing up for a budget that is balanced in favour of human rights, and a shift in the perception of disability that will improve the lifelong options for his boys, and others like them.
Garry is a founding member of the Dignity Party and believes that it is essential to have democratic representation for and on behalf of people with a disability.
“The disability scene has moved ahead in leaps and bounds with Kelly Vincent working in the Upper House, it’s exciting to think what we can achieve by ensuring Kelly can serve South Australia for another term,” said Mr Connor.
