John Duthie, TORRENS
With a background as a project manager and team leader in corporate and government IT, John brings a wealth of experience to the Dignity Party. Since sustaining a spinal cord injury when a tree limb fell on him in 2009, John has become a disability rights activist. He has raised awareness by calling out examples of poor design and practices in the community, and taking complaints to the Human Rights Commission. John has identified the need for more community education about disability, and the need for more inclusive community spaces. He is active in the community, and wants to improve the lives of others through his action to increase fairness.
