Phillip Beddall, WEST TORRENS
Phillip Beddall is a long time campaigner and advocate for human rights, he is proud of the progress the Dignity Party has achieved in increasing fairness and equality in the community. The cost of living, and energy bill related poverty in particular remain strong issues of concern for him. South Australia continues to have an unacceptably high level of unmet need for people with disabilities who wish to receive services. The NDIS has brought freedom of choice to many South Australians, but many still face a daily battle to maintain an independent and dignified life. Issues for younger people living in inappropriate accommodation such as nursing homes must urgently be addressed. With his extensive experience across a range of community-based disability organisations, Phillip knows and responds to the issues people are struggling with. He is working towards a fairer, more inclusive South Australia.
