Richard Challis, CHAFFEY
With a career spanning air traffic control with the Civil Aviation Authority, and related roles in Australia and internationally, Richard brings broad professional, personal and community experience to his role as a Dignity Party candidate. Richard wants to see improvements to reduce inequity in health and community services for regional South Australians. As a family carer he has experienced the health and disability sector up close. He’s currently carer for his partner who has Lewy Body Dementia. Through his involvement with the Dignity Party, Richard strives to support Kelly Vincent’s re-election and increase community awareness of the importance of Universal Design, believing that access to the community is a right and that universal design principles in the built environment benefit everyone, not just a few. Richard knows that disability is about all of us, and that in acknowledging this both as individuals and as a society, we need to look after each other.
