Ted Evans, COLTON
Dr. Ted Evans believes that for too long the human rights of people with disabilities have not been upheld.
“As a parent carer, I have advocated for my children all their lives,” says Ted.
With a research, policy and academic background, combined with experience as the parent of two adult children with disabilities, Ted offers a wealth of knowledge about human rights.
He knows the importance of involving everyone in the community in activities, and hopes to see more people with disabilities get involved in voting and elections.
The importance of providing timely rehabilitation services is vital to the long-term outcomes for people with acquired brain injury.
The active involvement of people with disabilities and families in the planning of post-school opportunities including employment, further education and community based arts, leisure and recreation are also important to Ted.
